Martin Luther King High School is a public high school in Germantown, Philadelphia, named after civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The school serves students from Germantown and surrounding neighborhoods.

History

Martin Luther King High School opened in 1972, named to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was assassinated in 1968. The school was built to serve the Germantown and East Germantown communities.[1]
