The Dandelion is a British-style gastropub at 124 S 18th Street in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia. Part of Stephen Starr's restaurant group, The Dandelion recreates the atmosphere of a traditional English pub while serving elevated British and gastropub fare.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
Stephen Starr opened The Dandelion in 2010, inspired by the gastropub movement in England. The two-story space was designed to evoke a traditional British pub, complete with antique furnishings, a working fireplace, and a garden-level terrace. The name refers to an English folk song.
